Maura Wall Hernandez is a senior editor at mom.me and author of the award-winning food and travel blog, The Other Side of The Tortilla. She has more than a decade of experience as an editor at magazines, newspapers and online outlets and is a mentor-editor with The Op-Ed Project, an organization that helps women and underrepresented voices be heard in key commentary forums in print and online. She has previously been a fellow with the News Literacy Project and is the past president of the Association for Women Journalists-Chicago.

Maura is currently based in Los Angeles. Her current projects include running an Etsy shop with handmade stationery and gifts, and launching a new blog.
